Hurricanes Beat Wildcats 14-4 In Game Two Of Series

The 15th ranked Hurricanes bounced back from Friday's 1-0 loss to the Wildcats and beat Bethune-Cookman University 14-4 Saturday Night.

Back-to-back home runs by the 'Cats Peter O'Brien and Chris Brown helped B-CU tie the game at 4-4 in the 4th inning. Miami erupted for ten unanswered runs, including six runs in the fifth inning to win game two of the series.

The Hurricanes (32-17) outhit B-CU (28-26) 11-6 in the ball game. Jeremy Davis was 2-4 for the Wildcats and freshman catcher O'Brien was 2-2 to lead the offense.

Starter Eric Thomas (6-5) took the loss pitching four innings and allowing six runs, five hits, striking out five and walking five. Relievers Arles Rivera, and Matt Crane pitched the final four innings. 

The two teams play 1 pm Sunday in game three of the weekend series. Freshman LHP Ali Simpson (7-2, 2.25 ERA) will pitch Sunday for Bethune-Cookman University.
