DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The LadyCats of Bethune-Cookman Volleyball traveled to face Volusia County rival Stetson University Tuesday night. The Hatters broke their losing streak, topping the LadyCats in four sets as scoring runs put B-CU away.

The Hatter had one of their best showings of the season as they jumped out to early leads in three of the four sets, Tuesday night at the Edmunds Center. Stetson efficiently caught B-CU out of position on defense and capitalized on LadyCat unforced errors, as playing from behind proved fatal for the LadyCat attack, losing each set in which they fell behind early. The Hatters took the match, winning in set scores of 25-17, 18-25, 25-17, and 25-15.

Leading B-CU offensively, Jessica Wilson (also with 10 digs) and Chelle Ticeson each finished with 11 kills apiece, followed by Kaiyana Johnson with 6 kills. Setting up the offense, Daryl Rodriguez finished with 35 assists, while also leading on defense with 12 digs. As a team, B-CU finished with 13 team blocks.

The LadyCats (4-10) are set for two more consecutive road games, with conference play beginning next week. Up next, B-CU travels to Winston-Salem State on Friday, Oct. 9.
