The Big Green of Dartmouth (6-8) scored five runs in the top of the ninth to come back and beat the Wildcats 14-12 Saturday afternoon in the final game of the series vs. B-CU. The Wildcats (15-11) came back from 9-2 down to take the lead 12-9 after eight innings before the Dartmouth comeback.
B-CU Comeback Takes Lead 12-9 Into Ninth
Peter O'Brien continued his hot hitting going 3-4 and ripping his 12th home run of the year. The Wildcats scored five runs in the eighth inning to go ahead for the first time in the game. RBI hits from O'Brien (solo homer), Juan Perez, Justin Hoyte, Juan Perez and C. J. Lauriello scored five runs in the eight inning.
Dartmouth scored seven runs in the first three innings off B-CU starter Juan Perez (1-1) took the loss pitching the ninth inning for the Wildcats as he was gunning for his fifth save of 2010 and third this week.
Dartmouth's Jake Bellenger's two-out, two-strike, bases-loaded, three-run double down the right field line off Perez was the game-winning hit for the winners in the see-saw game at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
B-CU is next at the University of Central Florida Tuesday in Orlando and will be back at home Wednesday night, 6 p.m. vs. UCF.
