The Game
Following a 38-14 win on the road last weekend at North Carolina Central, the No. 12/10 Bethune-Cookman Wildcats are back home in the friendly confines of Municipal Stadium this weekend. The Wildcats play host to Norfolk State, who enters with former B-CU defensive coordinator Pete Adrian comfortably at the helm of the Spartans program for the past eight seasons. The Cats look to continue their one game lead in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) standings over South Carolina State. This season, the Wildcats' scoring margin over their opponents at home is a comfortable 32.3 points per game, with all wins coming by way of a double-digit performance.
The Series
Bethune-Cookman holds a commanding 17-6 advantage in the series against Norfolk State, including a perfect 9-0 record all-time in Daytona Beach. The Wildcats have defeated the Spartans in the previous three consecutive meetings, and served as NSU's lone conference blemish during the school's MEAC title run in 2011. This will be the second straight year NSU is making the trip south to Daytona Beach with the Cats defeating the Spartans 48-3 in last year's meeting at Municipal Stadium.
The Broadcasts
The game will be carried live by 1380 WELE Radio, as well as WSIR 1490 AM across the state of Florida and on the web. In addition, the game will be streamed via CatEye Network (online) with Joe LaBarbera (play-by-play) and Larry Wesley (analyst). Terrance Gatling will provide sideline coverage.
The Coach
Head coach Brian Jenkins is in his fourth season as a collegiate head coach with all four years coming at Bethune-Cookman. He holds a 35-9 overall record. His overall record against Norfolk State is a perfect 3-0.
The Weather
Projected weather on game day: Daytona Beach, Fla. – 78/65. Norfolk, Va. – 59/44.
Wildcats in the Polls
Bethune-Cookman enters the game ranked No. 12 in The Sports Network poll, and No. 10 in the FCS Coaches poll.

JENKINS AT MUNICIPAL STADIUM
Head coach Brian Jenkins made his sideline debut at Municipal Stadium Sept. 4, 2010 (W, 70-10 vs. Edward Waters) after spending the prior season calling plays from the booth high above as Rutgers' wide receivers coach. Since Jenkins' arrival in 2010, the Wildcats are 18-4 at Municipal Stadium, averaging 40.5 points per game at home. Of the four losses at Municipal Stadium under Jenkins, two were post-season contests in the FCS Playoffs (2010 — vs. New Hampshire; 2012 — vs. Coastal Carolina).
#WRECKTANGLE BACKFIELD
• The Wildcats' secondary appears to be a rectangle (or WRECKTANGLE) for opposing offenses as one of the best defensive backfields in the nation through the halfway point of the year. The four defensive backfield mates of Nick Addison, Tim Burke, Thomas Finnie and Dion Hanks is causing havoc for opposing defenses under the guise of defensive coordinator Charles “Yogi” Jones.
LIGHTNING STRIKES
• Of Bethune-Cookman's 35 drives resulting in touchdowns this season, 15 have lasted less than three minutes, while 12 of those have lasted two minutes or less.
#30SOMETHING
• This season, Bethune-Cookman has scored 30 or more points in four of nine games played.
• In each of its 9 wins a season ago, Bethune-Cookman has scored at least 20 points, including 5 wins when scoring 30+ points – all but one of those games coming in MEAC play.
• The Wildcats have won 23 straight games when scoring 30+ points and are 26-1 in their last 27 games.
• Bethune-Cookman's last loss when scoring 30+ in a game? Nov. 22, 2008 – a 58-35 loss against Florida A&M in Orlando, Fla.
UP, UP AND AWAY
• Junior quarterback Quentin Williams left no doubt as to his passing ability against South Carolina State, connecting on a season-best 12-of-16 attempts, including a career-high 220 yards and a touchdown.
• Late in the game, Williams connected with senior Eddie Poole for his second-longest completion of the year on the strength of a 47-yard completion that extended the B-CU clock and drive deep into Bulldogs territory.
STAY BEHIND THE LINE
• Through nine games thus far on the year, Bethune-Cookman has brought tremendous defensive pressure on that side of the ball. The Wildcats have picked up 24 sacks already this season by 11 different players. That combines with 70 tackles for loss by a total of 18 different players.
