DELAND, Fla. – Rhea Simon had seven kills and two blocks as Bethune-Cookman dropped a 3-0 (25-16,25-10,25-13) decision to Stetson Friday at the Westin Classic.
The Hatters (3-3) got nine kills from Kaley Melville and capitalized on 28 Lady Cat attack errors to defeat B-CU (0-4) for the seventh consecutive time.
Aria Cormier posted six kills for Bethune-Cookman and also had two blocks.Sophomore Phlyecia Armstrong, who had missed the last two matches due to injury, returned to the line-up and had four kills in seven attempts.
Freshman setter Alexas Thomas posted 21 assists and five digs while freshman libero Normarie Rolon had a season-high 15 digs.
B-CU meets Savannah State Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and Providence at 1 p.m.
