BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman looks to rebound from Tuesday's triple overtime loss with a Friday afternoon matinee against Nicholls State here at Samford University. Game time is 3 p.m. EST/2 p.m. CST.
This is game three of the San Diego Classic for the Wildcats (2-3), who will face Samford Saturday at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST. This also wraps up a seven-day stretch in which the Wildcats played a game in each of the four Continental U.S. time zones.
The triple overtime game, a 96-91 loss to San Diego, was the first in B-CU history. The Wildcats have had 11 double OT games, the last being a double OT win at Hampton in 2011 … This was the first multi-overtime game of the
Gravelle Craig era … Jeffrey Altidort's  54 minutes played becomes a Wildcat single-game record;
Brandon Tabb logged 50 minutes, tying him with C.J. Reed's total in that Hampton game.
B-CU UPDATE: Tabb, who has scored 20 or more in three straight games, is second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in scoring (20.6 ppg) but leads the league in minutes per game (38) and is sixth nationally … Altidort's 3.6 steals ppg is first in the league and third nationally; he also leads the league in total assists (30).
