NORFOLK, Va. – It's a match-up of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's two top scorers when Bethune-Cookman meets Norfolk State Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Echols Hall.

Brandon Tabb, who hails from nearby Hampton and NSU's  Jonathan Wade are both averaging 19.3 points per game.

The Wildcats (4-15 overall, 1-5 MEAC) won last year's meeting 72-70.

Norfolk State (7-13,4-2) is a game behind Morgan State for the MEAC lead.

IF THE MEAC TOURNAMENT WERE TODAY: We'll be back up for the MEAC Tournament in March at the Scope, but if the brackets were finalized today, we'd be playing either South Carolina State or Hampton in the opening round's 11 vs. 5 game.

B-CU UPDATE: Of the Wildcats' five league losses, four have been by six points or less…Quinton Forrest has shot 50 percent from the field or better in each of the last five games – all in double figures. He's leading the league in field goal percentage with a clip of .551 … Reggie Baker is coming off a career-high 27 against Maryland-Eastern Shore and is 12^th in the MEAC with a 14.3 scoring average … Diamante Lewis is averaging 6.7 assists in conference games.

NSU UPDATE: The Spartans eliminated a 16-point deficit for a nice road win at Coppin State Monday … They're on a three-game winning streak … Wade has 11 20-point games this year… The Spartans lead the MEAC with 5.3 blocks per game.
