PENSACOLA, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Bowling finished up the 2019 FAMU Rattlers Invitational on Sunday, collecting a win in the bracket portion of the event taking place in Pensacola, Florida. The three-day tournament hosted by Florida A&M began Friday and ran through Sunday afternoon.

A day after
Samantha Ford turned in a second place tournament finish for the event, Bethune-Cookman entered Sunday's tournament bracket as the No. 6 seed. Teams took part in a best-of-seven Baker format to determine the tournament champion.

Â
However, BCU bounced back with a 4-1 defeat of Alabama A&M to finish the FAMU Rattlers Invitational in seventh place overall.
Â
Bowling in their first event of the year was
Diamond Cummings (Swartz Creek, Mich.), as well as Isis McNeal (Washington, D.C.) – also a track & field student-athlete for the Maroon and Gold.
Â
Bethune-Cookman will now turn its attention to the Sunshine State Winter Classic taking place February 8-10, in Orlando, Florida.
