DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman's second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference series of 2019 sees the Wildcats (7-10, 2-1 MEAC) hosting North Carolina Central (7-10,1-2) for three games beginning Friday at 6 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Ballpark

GAME 1 – Friday, 6 p.m.
BCU – Anthony Maldonado (RHP) 2-0, 1.96 ERA
NCCU – Chris Kernen (RHP) 2-1, 3.75 ERA 

GAME 2—Saturday, 4 p.m
BCU – Tyler Krull (RHP) 0-2, 5.97 ERA
NCCU- Brendan Bell (RHP) 0-3, 4.61 ERA

NCCU- Ryan Miller (RHP) 2-1, 1.07 ERA

LAST WEEKEND: Bethune-Cookman's first MEAC South Division series in the Jonathan Hernandez era finished with the Wildcats taking two of three from archrival Florida A&M. Meanwhile, the Eagles dropped their conference opening series against North Carolina A&T, with the Aggies taking two of three.

TGIM (Thank Goodness It's Maldonado): Anthony Maldonado has helped BCU go unbeaten on Friday nights (4-0) so far this season. The MEAC Preseason Pitcher Of The Year has struck out 25, including 10 against Ohio State and nine last week against Florida A&M.

BULLPEN: Brandon Wilkes leads the MEAC in saves with three. On the hitting side, Wilkes leads the Wildcats with six multi-hit games.

STREAKS: Nate Sterijevski enters the weekend on a 10-game hitting streak, while Zach Spivey, coming off a three-hit effort Wednesday against USF, has a four-game streak going … Joseph Fernando went hitless in the two midweek games against North Florida and South Florida, but still leads the team with a .339 average.

SCOUTING CENTRAL: Corey Joyce leads the Eagles with a .383 average, followed by Caleb Coyle at .340 and Trey Maslin with 16 RBI.

SUNDAY PROMOTIONS: In addition to being the final day of Bike Week and St. Patrick Day's, Sunday also marks the 73rd anniversary of Jackie Robinson's first spring training game at the stadium bearing his name. BCU also is continuing its Sunday free admission for veterans and "Bark In The Park" where fans can bring their pets.
