DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman University's
Rakaya Neely has been named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Time Volleyball Team, the league announced this week.
The Lake Wales, Fla. (Frostproof HS) product finished her career as the Lady Wildcats' all-time blocks leader (366) and eighth on the all-time kills list with 777 kills. She posted a career a .302 hitting percentage, including three of the top five single-match totals.
In 2014, she was part of the team that posted the program's first-ever victory over Florida A&M and finished with four victories in the rivalry, the most of any B-CU player. In 2015, she was a driving force to B-CU's first-ever appearance in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship match. Neely was a 2017 First Team All-MEAC selection and garnered a Second Team berth the year before.
Nearly 900 votes were cast to determine the 50 selections for the All-Time Team, with fans, media representatives, institution sports information contacts and others taking part.

To be considered on the ballot, players must have been named to one of the following: First Team All-MEAC, MEAC Player of the Year, AVCA All-America or All-Region or a MEAC Hall of Fame inductee.
