Florida (30-18) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning, then added one run in the seventh and three in the eighth.
The Wildcats (21-27) had a scoring opportunity in the first, loading the bases.
Malik Stephens opened the game by drawing a walk,
Matthew Garcia had single and
Manny Souffrain drew a walk, but were left stranded.
Kyle Wilkinson and
Brandyn Gatenby both singled in the fourth.
Christopher Patterson and
Jeremy Garcia also had hits for B-CU.
The Wildcat bullpen had a strong effort, with three relievers combining for five innings of shutout ball.
Gabriel Perez gave up one hit in his two innings.
Gabriel White struck out three and threw two innings without giving up a hit.
Amir Asghar worked a scoreless seventh.
Bethune-Cookman returns home Friday to begin a three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference against Alabama A&M. First pitch Friday at Jackie Robinson Ballpark is at 7 p.m.
