Last Time Out
 
The Wildcats took two of three from Alabama A&M this past weekend, most notably a 12-1 romp of the Bulldogs Sunday afternoon thanks to a seven-RBI explosion from Malik Stephens. Stephens' day tied the B-CU all-time record for RBI in a single game.
 
The Knights visited Daytona Beach all the way back on March 8, defeating the Wildcats, 6-2. The Wildcats kept to within 3-2 until the ninth inning, when the Knights put three runs on the board to put things out of reach.
 
Scouting the Knights
 
UCF is 30-21 this season, and 13-8 in AAC play. The Knights took two of three from Houston last weekend – they had previously lost four straight.
 
The Knights are batting .281 as a team with 56 homers and 298 RBI.  Catcher Ben McCabe leads his team with 37 RBI on a .273 average and eight homers. Infielder Orlando Noah is batting .350 in 45 games this season.
 
UCF's pitching staff combines for a 3.97 ERA. In 446.2 innings, they have struck out 463, and walked 193. Opponents are hitting .244 against the Knights. They have 50 errors as a team.
 
The Starter
 
Lefty Alec Mendez will make his fourth start of the season Tuesday night in what will be a staff day for the Wildcats. He will look to rebound from last week's performance at Florida.

Tuesday marks the 33rd ever meeting between the Knights and Wildcats. UCF has won six straight games in the series.
