JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Strong performances in field and the relays highlighted Bethune-Cookman performances at the North Florida Invitational this weekend.
The 4X100 meter relay team of Michael Bennett,
Kristopher Brown,
Jermaine Dyges and
Michael Hopkins clocked a 41.29 and finished fourth, while Brown,
Christian Taylor, Cameron Overton and Hopkins finished seventh in the 4X400 meter relay with a time of 3:20.12.
Individually,
Marc McCoy and
Guy Bond recorded top five finishes.
McCoy leaped 15.06 meters in the triple jump while Bond took fifth in the high jump at 2.05 meters.
Other B-CU men's times and finishes include:
* Hopkins, 6th in the pole vault at 4.75 meters.

David Richards, 8th in the javelin at 45.95 meters and 10th in the 400 hurdles at 54.37.

DaMauri Little, 9th in the 3000 meter steeplechase at 10:56.99.
In women's competition,
Thea Shaw was 11th in the 400 hurdles (1:02.30) while
Sanaa Marlin took 11th in the triple jump (11.52 meters).
Amenda Saint-Louis was 12th in the 800 meters (2:11.87),
Alysa Whetro 13th in the high jump (1.53 meters) and
Tatiana Elliott 15th in the javelin (27.14) meters.
The Wildcats now head to Texas for the Southwestern Athletic Conference championships beginning Thursday.
Carlin Berryhill (1500 meters, 3000 meter steeplechase), Hopkins (pole vault) and Saint-Louis (400 meters) enter as top seeds in their respective events.
