BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman Women's Basketball student-athlete
Chanelle McDonald was named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week, while
Chanel Wilson was named Impact Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon from its home office in Birmingham, Alabama.
Junior forward
Chanelle McDonald powered the Wildcats to an upset win over Iona Wednesday night. The Lake Wales native posted a team-high 24 points on 9-17 shooting along with ten boards - nine offensive. She also added a block and connected on 6-7 shots from the charity stripe.
Chanel Wilson, graduate student guard, takes home her second straight weekly honors, earning Impact Player of the Week in consecutive weeks to start the season. It also marks the third SWAC weekly honor of her B-CU career. Wilson finished just behind McDonald in scoring against Iona Wednesday night, putting up 19 alongside six assists, three steals. and eight boards.
