Wilson, a 5-foot-7 guard from Powder Springs, Georgia, arrived to Bethune-Cookman last summer from Indiana.
The McEachern High product led the Wildcats and finished the regular season second in the SWAC in scoring, averaging 16.8 points per game across the 2022-23 campaign. Wilson played and started in all 28 games for
Janell Crayton's squad that improved by five wins from a season ago, earning a berth and No. 6 seed in the

Wilson scored in double figures in all but four games this season, including 10 games where she scored at least 20 points. Against league opponents, she averaged 16.6 points and shot 35.7 percent from three-point range.
She was third in the league in overall field goal percentage (.409), while leading the league in three-point field goals made per game (2.4). Her 77.3 percent free throw percentage ranked her ninth in the SWAC for that category as well. Additionally, she was 11th in the league in assists, registering 67 on the season (2.4 per game).
Alabama State's Ayana Emmanuel was named SWAC Player of the Year, while Jackson State's Tomekia Reed received Coach of the Year honors. Angel Jackson of Jackson State was Defensive Player of the Year, while Texas Southern's Micah Gray was Freshman of the Year.
Joining Wilson on the all-conference first team were Emmanuel (Alabama State), Ti'lan Boler (Jackson State), Diana Rosenthal (Prairie View A&M) and Jayla Crawford (Alabama State).
