DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Saturday mornings in April can mean only one thing: SPRING FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGES!
Yeah, yeah, relax. Baseball ,softball, track, tennis and golf know I'm kidding.
Here's some takes from Bethune-Cookman's Saturday morning at Daytona Stadium:
1) Lots of energy out there. Very spirited affair.

2) The quarterback situation seems to still be up in the air. April competition is a good thing, though.
3)
Jimmie Robinson III gonna do
Jimmie Robinson III  stuff. Big plays await.
4)
Kemari Averett is gone, but
Cameron Overton is going to help the drop off at tight end be as little as possible
5)
Amarie Jones has switched to linebacker and is having a good spring
6) Anytime the Wildcats kick a field goal longer than 45 yards, it gives me hope.
7) Johnny Vickers was there. I just like to drop names.
8) Props to HailWildcats.com for feeding all of us fish and grits following the scrimmage. It's safe to say no other scrimmage in America had that level of cuisine.
9) I really like how Raymond Woodie and his staff are coaching this team.

Another week of practice and another scrimmage awaits this week. Spring game on the 22
nd.
