DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Nolan Santos has been named SWAC Pitcher of the week after an oustanding outing last Friday against Mississipi Valley State, the league office announced Monday
The fiery righthander receives his second weekly honor of the season after an outstanding complete-game effort Friday night in Itta Bena, Miss. He allowed two runs on two hits while striking out a season-high 13 batters in the series-opening win.
It is the third weekly honor of Santos's Wildcats career. He was also named SWAC Pitcher of the Week on March 28, 2023 and March 10, 2022. Santos was named to the Preseason All-SWAC Second team prior to the start of this season.
The Wildcats return to work tonight as they head to Coral Gables to take on Miami at 6 p.m.
