The Wildcats scored in each of the final four innings, but it was not enough to overcome an early 9-0 deficit Tuesday night in Miami. Six Wildcats enjoyed multi-hit games - Boris Pena,

Jeremy Garcia in the loss.
Alabama State is 24-14 this season, including a 12-3 mark in conference play. The Hornets sit in second place in the SWAC, with B-CU holding the top spot on winning percentage.
The Wildcats took two of three from the Hornets at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, taking two one-run victories in the first SWAC series of the season.
Alabama State sits atop the SWAC's offensive and defensive leaderboards. They lead the conference in batting average, hits, RBI, slugging percentage, and home runs.
- Joan Gonzalez leads the SWAC in saves.
- Nolan Santos's SWAC strikeout lead has increased to 21 after last weekend's 13-strikeout performance. He has 91 this season.
- Irvin Escobar is on an a nine-game hitting streak, the longest by a Wildcat this season.
The Hornets hold a 6-5 lead in the all-time series between the two squads.
