The Wildcats lost three straight at Alabama State last weekend, including back-to-back games in which they held a lead in the fifth.
Irvin Escobar enjoyed an excellent weekend, totaling seven RBI over three games.
Jackson State is 21-17 this season and 6-12 in SWAC play. The Tigers will meet the Wildcats in two out of the next four SWAC weekends. JSU took two of three from Alabama A&M last weekend, including 14-8 and 15-7 victories on Saturday and Sunday.
Jackson State is hitting .308 as a team this season, the third best average in the SWAC. They have hit only 20 homers, but they rank second in the SWAC with 89 doubles.
The Jackson State pitching staff ranks fifth in the SWAC with a 7.37 ERA.
