DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Tied atop the SWAC standings with tiebreakers over both Alabama State and Florida A&M, the Wildcats will face their toughest challenge of the season as they take on No. 3 Florida, Tuesday April 4 in Gainesville, Fla.
Tuesday marks the start of an 18-game road trip for B-CU. The Wildcats will not return to the friendly confines of Jackie Robinson Ballpark until May 3.

The Wildcats took two of three from Florida A&M last weekend at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The Rattlers were previously 6-0 in conference play.
Hylan Hall was named SWAC Hitter of the week for his play over the weekend. He finished the weekend with two multi-hit games and seven total RBI on the weekend. In a game three win Sunday, Hall tallied five RBI thanks in part to a first-inning, two-run homerun.
Robert Moya also tallied four RBI on the weekend thanks to a pair of homers in game two of the series.
Marcos Gamboa led the B-CU staff on Saturday, working 7.2 innings, allowing only two unearned runs on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts in the game two win.
The Gators are 2-4 and five this season, and 7-2 in SEC play. They are 18-5 at home. Last weekend, they took two of three from Auburn, outscoring the Tigers 29-13 in the final two games of the series.
The Gators boast one of the top lineups in the country, ranking fourth in the nation in batting average at .334 as a team. They rank fourth in runs with 260 and second in homers with 61.
Utility player Jac Caglianone has been one of the nation's top players, ranking first in baseball with 17 homers and fifth with 44 RBI.
- Nolan Santos is fourth in the country in strikeouts, and only two behind second place with 57 in six games.
- The Wildcats have the third most hits in the SWAC at 275. They have the second most doubles at 61.
- B-CU owns the SWAC's best fielding percentage at .965
Tuesday's contest will mark the 47
th meeting all time between B-CU and Florida. The Gators own the advantage in the series at 33-12-1. Last season, the Gators took down B-CU by scores of 2-3 and 0-7, both in Gainesville.
