DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman wide receivers coach
Tristan Walker and offensive line coach
Brandon Washington have been selected to the 2025 NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy, to be held February 22-24 in Indianapolis.
The pair are two of 58 NCAA coaches and NFL Legends set to participate in the event.
The academy, open to full-time position coaches, coordinators, and assistant head coaches at NCAA member institutions, offers an opportunity to engage with valuable peers across a wide variety of topics that will enhance capabilities to serve as an effective coach and leader of student-athletes both on and off the field.
Topics include effective communication with campus and community constituents, the importance of building a culture focused on the overall success of the student-athletes, budget management of a football program, and coaching strategies and philosophies, as well as managing personal lives throughout the rigors associated with life as a coach.
Walker is set to enter his third season as receivers coach at B-CU. He joined the program after stints at Presbyterian College, FSU, and Southeast Raleigh High School.
Washington will also enter year three with B-CU, joining B-CU after coaching stops at UCF and Florida Memorial.
