Dariusz Bladek Moves to Ottawa Redblacks

Veteran CFL player makes switch from Toronto

OTTAWA, Ont. – Former Bethune-Cookman offensive lineman and veteran Canadian Football League (CFL) offensive lineman Dariusz Bladek has made a move from the Toronto Argonauts to the Ottawa Redblacks ahead of the 2024 season.

Bladek, having played for the Wildcats from 2012-15, was a member of four Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Football Championships in Daytona Beach. The Poinciana High alum served along the offensive line for Head Coach Brian Jenkins and Terry Sims, respectively, before taken in the second round of the 2017 CFL Draft by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Bladek played for the Roughriders for three seasons until moving to the Toronto Argonauts in 2020. While in Toronto, he saw action in 19 games across four seasons, in addition to helping the Argonauts win the 2022 Grey Cup. He has appeared in 72 career games since arriving to the CFL.

However, Bladek missed most of the 2023 season due to injury.

Ottawa opens the 2024 season in Week 2 at home against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thurs., June 13.
