The Wildcats dropped both games of a doubleheader to wrap up a weekend series with the Big Ten's Northwestern at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
Garrett Chun enjoyed a strong Saturday, going 4-9 with three RBI, a run scored, and a walk
The Wildcats defeated FIU, 10-4 back on Feb. 20 behind five strong innings from
Dylan Dudones in which he allowed only two earned runs.
Colton Olasin had three RBI, while
Irvin Escobar and
Manny Souffrain each had a pair in the win.
The Panthers are 4-4 in eight games since, dropping two of three at home against Seton Hall with one to play on Monday night. They are hitting .290 as a team with 20 homers and 91 runs scored on the season.
Junior first baseman Brylan West leads his team at the dish, hitting .474 with three doubles, a triple, three homers, and 13 RBI.

The Wildcats are 16-55 in the all-time series with FIU. Their win back in February erased a 10-game win streak for the Panthers in the series.
