DELAND, Fla. - The Wildcats look to make it a season sweep of Volusia County foe Stetson as they head to Deland for the penultimate midweek contest of the season set for Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m.

The Wildcats climb to within one game of Florida A&M in the SWAC standings with a crucial 5-3 win in the series rubber match, Sunday afternoon at Moore-Kittles field.
The Wildcats improved to 4-2 on the season over the Rattlers with two series wins.
Bethune-Cookman (27-21, 17-7 SWAC) grabbed the first run of the series finale in the top of the second as
Jose Gonzalez singled and came around to score on an
Irvin Escobar double to center field.
The Wildcats added two more in the fifth after opening the frame with back-to-back singles. A fielder's choice advanced the runners to second and third before
Daniel Figueroa brought home
Colton Olasin from third. One batter later, a
Garrett Chun sacrifice bunt made it 3-0, scoring Jorge GonzalezFebo.
The Cats made it five unanswered with two more in the sixth as Gonzalez Febo and
Jayme Villafane grabbed RBI.
Florida A&M (23-23, 18-6 SWAC) finally broke onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single and two-run homer to cut the deficit to 5-3.
The Rattlers put two runners on in the eighth, but could not push a run across as
Pablo Torres finished off the B-CU win for his fifth save of the year.
Daniel Gaviria made the start. In seven innings, he allowed three earned runs on six hits with a walk and two strikeouts. His record improved to 5-3.
Torres worked two clean innings allowing only one hit with three strikeouts.
Stetson is 30-18 on the year with a 15-9 ASUN record, just one game out of first place in the league.
The Hatters took an 8-7 loss at the Hands of the Wildcats back on April 16 as the Wildcats came back from down 7-6 in the seventh off the bat of
Jorge Rodriguez, whose two-run single put the Cats in front for good.
In the weeks since, Stetson has impressive midweek wins over #16 UCF, 5-3, and USF, 19-9. The Hatters also took a 1-0 loss at the hands of #12 Florida State.
The Hatters are hitting .291 on the year with 43 homers. Kyle Jones leads the Hats with a .350 average. Yohann Dessureault is the team leader in homers with nine.
On the mound, Stetson has a 5.30 team ERA with 194 strikeouts to 100 walks.
Tuesday marks the 106th meeting in the all-time series between B-CU and Stetson. Bethune-Cookman is 27-78 in those games, including a 10-51 mark on the road. The Wildcats have won two straight against Stetson.
