BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Linebacker Jaylen Lewis has been named SWAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week,  it was announced Monday from the league office in Birmingham, Alabama.

Sophomore Jaylen Lewis enjoyed a career day on the B-CU Defense as the Cats earned their fourth win of the season at home to remain undefeated at Daytona Stadium with a 31-14 win over UAPB. The Pensacola product finished the day with four total tackles, none bigger than a pair of sacks for 21 total yards lost. In just Saturday's game, Lewis pulls into a tie for the team lead in sacks, leading in sack yardage.

It marks the first weekly honor of the career of Lewis. 

The Wildcats close out the 2025 home season with a Senior Day matchup with Mississippi Valley State on Saturday, November 1 at 3 p.m. at Daytona Stadium.
