OKLAHOMA CITY – B-CU cornerbacks
Johnny Harris III and
Gabe White were announced as finalists for the Aeneas Williams Award Tuesday morning. The award selects the top defensive backs among Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) at the Division I level. The finalists are set to be announced on December 2.
Harris III has recorded 22 tackles, including 3.0 tackles for loss, seven pass break ups, one interception, and one fumble recovery. The redshirt senior was a key player in the Wildcat's win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff, generating 3 tackles (1.0 for loss) and three passes defensed.
White has recorded 26 total tackles, including 2.0 tackles for loss, with two interceptions, and eight pass breakups. The redshirt sophomore had a standout performance against #5/#7 Miami compiling nine tackles and two passes defensed.
