BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Wildcat men finished 5th and the women 8th as Bethune-Cookman Track wrapped up indoor season this weekend at the SWAC Indoor Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex.
Texas Southern claimed the 2025 Men's title behind 100 total points, followed by Jackson State at 93 and Arkansas - Pine Bluff with 89.
Alabama State took the women's title with 145 points, followed by Prairie View A&M with 101 and Florida A&M with 99.
Victor Kibet has been a backbone for the men's side all year, and this was no different. He earned a spot on the podium with a 15:23.89 finished in the 500m finals. He also grabbed a third place finish in the men's 300m run with a time of 8:41.46.
Carlos Moore secured a first place finish in the men's long jump heptathlon with 6.88m.
Four wildcats
De'Quon King,
Jonathan Gaines, Jancet Wallace, and
Ethan Sharpe turned in a top-10 finish in the 4x400 meter relay, running a 3:16.49.
Malcolm Brown,
Ryan Longmire,
De'Quon King, and
Victor Kibet earned a third place podium finish in the men's distance medley with a time of 10:30.55.
Freshman
Xavier Bogan finished fifth long jump with 7.37m. He also finished ninth in the triple jump with 14.97m. Teammate
Sytrevion Dyer finished tenth with 7.20m.
Jordan Riche finished fifth in the weight throw with 18.50m.
Brandon Pierce grabbed fourth in the 1000m heptathlon with a time of 2:56.76.
Kaden McKire finished seventh in the men's high jump heptathlon with 1.77m.
Four Wildcat women,
Alyssa Williams,
Haely Grant,
Zion Harvey and
Mariana Morillo finished second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:45.35.
Riana Wilford finished fourth in the pole vault with 2.95m. Teammate
Lauren Johnson also grabbed fourth in the high jump with 11.65m.
Kasie Uegh took fifth in the shot put with 12.90m.
