Bradley is coming off a season in which they finished 16-35 overall and 12-15 in the Missouri Valley. They fell in the first round of the Missouri Valley Tournament to Belmont.
The notable returners for the Braves include outfielder Ashton Horchem and pitcher Gavin Thompson. Horchem hit .320 including nine doubles and drove in 10 runs and Thompson finished with an 8.68 ERA in 18 appearances, including eight starts
- Bethune-Cookman is projected first in this year's SWAC Preseason Poll
- Andrey Martinez was selected as SWAC Preseason Player of the Year. He hit .353 last season with 20 home runs and 64 RBI.
- Edwin Sanchez was named SWACÂ Preseason Pitcher of the Year. He finished 8-1 with a 3.05 ERA last season, recording 101 strikeouts in 82.2 innings.
- The Wildcats had five players name to the Preseason All-SWACÂ First Team and three named to the Second Team.
The Wildcats are 1-1 all-time against Bradley, having last played the Braves in 1998.
