DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Wildcats will open the 2026 season at Jackie Robinson Ballpark as they take on the Bradley Braves for a three-game set. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 7 p.m EST.

Scouting the Opponent In-Story Header
Bradley is coming off a season in which they finished 16-35 overall and 12-15 in the Missouri Valley. They fell in the first round of the Missouri Valley Tournament to Belmont.

The notable returners for the Braves include outfielder Ashton Horchem and pitcher Gavin Thompson. Horchem hit .320 including nine doubles and drove in 10 runs and Thompson finished with an 8.68 ERA in 18 appearances, including eight starts

  • Andrey Martinez was selected as SWAC Preseason Player of the Year. He hit .353 last season with 20 home runs and 64 RBI.
  • Edwin Sanchez was named SWAC Preseason Pitcher of the Year. He finished 8-1 with a 3.05 ERA last season, recording 101 strikeouts in 82.2 innings.
