BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Wildcat third baseman Andrey Martinez has been named SWAC Co-Hitter of the Week after another hot offensive stretch, the conference announced from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.

This is the 13th weekly award for the Wildcats this season and the third in another outstanding season for Martinez.

The senior continued to excell in his second season with the Maroon & Gold against Stetson and in a series win at Alabama State. In four games, he collected five hits, scored five runs, drove in four, and knocked in a trio of homers.  

The Wildcats will finish out the regular season this weekend, beginning Thursday at 7 p.m. against Grambling State.
