BATON ROUGE, La. -- Bethune-Cookman returns to action and the Bayou Saturday as the Wildcats face LSU at 1:30 p.m. EST on a two-game trip that concludes their non-conference schedule.
The Wildcats have been idle since a 67-51 loss to Youngstown State on Dec. 21. YSU used a 30-11 rebounding advantage in the opening half to build a 15-point lead. B-CU got as close as five at 48-43 in the second half, but could not come any closer. Adrien Coleman led B-CU with 17, while Alex Smith doubled-doubled with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
BACK TO THE BAYOU: The Wildcats managed a split of their two-game stay in New Orleans back in November. B-CU battled Tulane tough before the Green Wave posted a 75-65 decision while the Wildcats rallied for a 71-65 victory over New Orleans, giving Head Coach Gravelle Craig his first road nonconference victory.

UPDATE: Coleman, who has three Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference player of the week awards this season, was recognized by Jon Teitel of Collegehoopsdaily.com as the MEAC's best player for the month of December.
