Busy Weekend For @CookmanTrack

Three Bethune-Cookman athletes will compete at the USATF Indoor Championships while the rest of the squad heads to Savannah, Georgia for the outdoor season open at the Tiger Relays.

Kareem Fair, Tristie Johnson and Michael Tiller are in Boston for this weekend's event. Fair and Johnson will run the 60 meter dash while Tiller is in the triple jump.

Johnson, a junior, and Tiller, a sophomore, competed at nationals last year. Johnson came in 19th with a time of 7.536 seconds while Tiller was ninth in the triple jump at 14.8 meters (48-6.75 feer).

Johnson and Fair are looking to improve their 2015 bests of 7.65 and 6.67, respectively, to earn a berth in the NCAA national championships March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tiller is looking to improve on his best 2015 leap of 15.45 meters.

Meanwhile, the Wildcat men begin defense of their 2014 outdoor championship at Savannah State University. Relay events will be the focus of this weekend's competition.
