DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Bethune-Cookman cheerleading team will be in action locally on Thursday, April 9, at 2 p.m. The Wildcats will be in action at the band shell on the beach at Ocean Walk in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Under the direction of head coaches Becky and John Woodson, Bethune-Cookman Cheerleading is competing in the NCA Nationals for the first time in school history.

Also competing in this year's NCA Nationals will be cheerleading squads from Kent State, Georgia Southern, Missouri, Wright State, Texas-San Antonio, SMU, UTEP, Middle Tennessee State, University of the Incarnate Word, Houston, UMKC, Northern Colorado, Michigan, Jacksonville State and Iowa State.

If the Wildcats finish in the top 10, they will compete in the finals the following day at The Ocean Center on beach side.

However, the first time for all B-CU fans to get a glimpse of the routine will be Wednesday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats will showcase the routine at the Daytona Xtreme Athletics complex. The address for the complex is 1725 South Nova Road, South Daytona, Florida 32119. Entrance is free, but space is limited. So, make sure to get there early for your chance to see the Wildcats.
