DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman placed six Student-Athletes on the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference football team, it was announced today.
All awards, presented by TowneBank, were voted on by the MEAC's head football coaches and sports information directors.

Isaac Washington, who led B-CU with 636 rushing yards in 2019 and scored the game-winning touchdown in the Florida Blue Florida Classic.

Taron Mallard, who caught 16 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns in 2019.

Jamal Savage, who started in eight of 2019's final nine games.

Gerome Howard, who had 31 tackles and two sacks last season.

Untareo Johnson, the team's leading returning tackler with 54.

Tyrese Spain, who led the MEAC with 19 punt returns for 259 yards.

The Wildcats posted their ninth winning season in ten years with a 7-4 campaign in 2019 that included a ninth consecutive victory over Florida A&M in the Florida Blue Florida Classic. B-CU's 80 victories from 2010-19 were the most for any HBCU program in the decade and tied for eighth best in the FCS subdivision.
