B-CU Alum Eric Lewis Slated To Work 4th NBA Finals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman alum Eric Lewis has been named a game official for his fourth consecutive NBA Finals. The 2022 championship series between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors begins June 2, 2022.

Last year, Lewis called Game 3 and Game 6 of the 2021 Finals between the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns. He spent part of the 2020 season in "the bubble," working the Finals series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat. His Finals debut was in Game 4 of the 2019 Finals between Golden State and the Toronto Raptors.

He advanced to the NBA after spending three seasons working in the NBA Developmental League (now called the G-League, where he called the 2004 League Finals and the 2003 and 2004 Playoffs. He also spent two years working in the United States Basketball League, officiating the Finals in 2002 and 2004.
