NEW ORLEANS – Bethune-Cookman standout cornerback,
Omari Hill-Robinson, has accepted an invite to participate in the 2024 HBCU Legacy Bowl, to be held on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. EST at Yulman Stadium, home of the Tulane Green Wave.
In 2023,
Omari Hill-Robinson proved once again to be the top defensive back in the SWAC as he racked up four interceptions – one each against Jackson State, Southern, MVSU, and AAMU - for the third straight season to lead the conference in the category.
He added six pass break-ups for nine total passes defended. He also finished fourth on his team in solo tackles with 26, adding seven tackle assists for 33 total tackles. Hill-Robinson also added a 77-yard fumble return touchdown on Oct. 28 against Grambling State to pull the Wildcats to within a score.
The Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl, presented by
the Black College Football Hall of Fame, is a postseason all-star game showcasing the best NFL draft-eligible football players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. It will be broadcast live on NFL Network. More than a football game, the week-long celebration of Black culture and history will provide invaluable exposure for HBCU students.
It follows directly after the HBCU Combine, which was held on Feb. 20. The full list of results for participating players can be viewed
