DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- In its fourth consecutive match decided by one point, Bethune-Cookman fell to Hampton 4-3 Thursday afternoon at City Island Tennis Center.
The Lady Wildcats (3-7) are now 2-2 in these one-pointers, beating Embry-Riddle and Kennesaw State falling to Georgia Southern and now Hampton (3-2).

Matea Roki helped Bethune-Cookman take a 3-2 lead with singles victory, but Hampton managed a tie and got the decider when Anastasiia Romanova downed
Phatsimo Ruele 1-6,6-3,6-1 at No. 5 singles for the winner.
"The women continue to play shorthanded," said B-CU Head Coach
Val Villucci, who is down to five players due to injury. "But it has affected their determination and has shown they are strong-minded and focused."
Matsuba's singles win was her 63rd career victory, moving her into a tie with Gaby Chinchilla for second on the all-time singles list, two behind all-time leader Valerie Kendrick. It also tied her with Chinchilla for second on the all-time combined list with 125, three behind Kendrick's 128.
Bethune-Cookman hosts Tennessee State Monday.
