DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman celebrates Senior Day as part of its regular season finale series against Savannah State beginning with a Friday doubleheader at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
Six seniors --
Brandon Amendolare, Donte Lyndsey,
Austin Garcia,
Charles Eytel,
Demetrius Sims and
Sam Brooks will be honored prior to the start of Friday's 1 p.m. game.
The three-game series can determine if the Wildcats (27-23 overall, 12-8 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) will be a No. 1 seed for next week's conference tournament. It can also determine if Bethune-Cookman even makes the tournament.
The scenario: North Carolina A&T (25-21,14-7) leads the Southern Division, followed by B-CU (27-23,12-8), Florida A&M (24-23,12-9), North Carolina Central (22-28,12-11) and Savannah State (12-36,3-18).
Bethune-Cookman needs to win one game to be one of the three teams from the south in the tournament.
