NORFOLK, Va. – For the third consecutive week and sixth time this season, Bethune-Cookman University's Michelle Ncube has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Rookie Of The Week, it was announced today [April 10, 2019].

The freshman from Harare, Zimbabwe, went undefeated in both singles in doubles in two MEAC matches last week. She posted a 4-6, 6-3, 5-3 win over Florida A&M's Miali Rakotondrazafy on Thursday, then upended Savannah State's Sofia Shut'Ko 6-0, 6-1 on Sunday. She also paired with Karen Romero for two doubles victories.

Ncube leads the Lady Wildcats with a 9-3 singles record and an 8-5 doubles mark. She's undefeated (4-0 in both singles and doubles) in MEAC play.

BCU (5-9 overall, 2-2 MEAC) concludes its regular season Monday at home against South Carolina State.
