HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman Women's Tennis travels to Huntsville, Alabama this weekend as the Wildcats compete in the SWAC Fall Tournament taking place on the campus of Alabama A&M. The event begins Friday, Oct. 3, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 5.
Under the guise of Head Coach
Chris Wollett, Bethune-Cookman will be sending two student-athletes to Huntsville in the form of
Jalayah Shaw and
Zahara El-Zein to compete in both singles and doubles play.
The format for the tournament will have two singles players and one doubles team from participating schools around the SWAC.
The Wildcats will have a bye on the opening day of doubles before taking on the winner of Alabama A&M vs. Jackson State on Saturday afternoon.
In singles play, El Zein opens her tournament against AAMU's Sofia Raya, while teammate Shaw faces off against Alabama State's Cleanne Pickel. Both singles matches begin Feriday at 10:30 a.m. CT.
The singles finals match is scheduled for Sunday at 10:30 a.m. CT.
