DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Women's Tennis has inked two future Wildcats for the 2025-26 season, announced Monday, May 12, by Head Coach
Chris Wollett. The Cats signed Madison Molock and Taylor O'Neal out of high school for next season.
Madison Molock, a 5-foot-6 native of Ocala, Florida, arrives to Bethune-Cookman from Forest High School where she prepped under coach David Blair. She was a four-year All-Marion County honoree, as well as being named the 2023 individual district champion. Forest advanced to the 2024 District 4-A finals as well.
"I'm really excited about the addition of Madison to the Wildcats Tennis program," said Wollett, recently completing his second full season at the helm of the B-CU program. "I've had my eye on her for some time now, and I've really enjoyed watching her improve, especially over the past year. Her on-court competitiveness is something I think will help her make the transition to the collegiate level."
Rated as a three-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.net, Molock went on to be named a two-time Marion County Player of the Year. Off the court, she is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and received Health Science Honors.
"I feel Bethune-Cookman is going to be a great fit for Madison," added Wollett. "She truly has B-CU in her blood as she's a legacy. Her aunt, uncle and father all graduated from Bethune-Cookman – and that's just awesome!"
The other signing for the 2025-26 class comes in the form of Taylor O'Neal, a 5-foot-1 incoming freshman from Indianapolis, Indiana. She arrives to Bethune-Cookman after recently prepping at Lawrenceville North High School, while also attending Bloomington South High during her earlier years.
"I feel Taylor will be a great addition to the program," remarked Wollett. "She's one of those up-and-coming players with a lot of potential in her future. Her work ethic and drive will definitely pay off for her in the near future. I'm excited to watch Taylor develop and thrive as a collegiate student-athlete."
Across her high school career, O'Neal was a two-time MIC champion while playing varsity all four years at both Lawrenceville North and Bloomington South, respectively. She was rated a three-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.net. Aside from tennis, O'Neal was a member of the Distinguished Honor Roll, in addition to being a member of the National Honor Society and recipient of the Academic Achievement Award in Math (2023).
"Beyond tennis, I was really interested in recruiting Taylor for her activities and accomplishments outside of the court," added Wollett. "She's proven herself in the classroom earning nearly a 4.0 GPA, as well as her involvement in National Honor Society and has co-illustrated a children's book. I believe she'll do a great job contributing to the Wildcats Tennis program and B-CU Athletics, as a whole."
